What's New in IN-SPIRE 4.0
IN-SPIRE Version 4.0 provides major new analytical capabilities plus numerous enhancements to existing features. New analytical features include the ability to emphasize how data are clustered by pre-specifying topical terms of interest (Viewpoints), the ability to measure emotional content of text (Affect Measurement), a new Summary tool that quickly shows the major topics and themes associated with a selected portion of the document collection.
There are also many changes to existing tools. The Triage tool has a new user interface that simplifies the creation and modification of triage networks. The Document Viewer has been completely redesigned for improved document readability and to combine the functions of the Document Viewer and the Evidence Viewer. New foreign language capabilities include automatic word segmentation for languages such as Chinese, a new interface to "Fluent" for government clients, and the capability to search non-English language documents using English terms. There are also several changes for system administration and operations, including upgrades to take advantage of new features in Java 1.42 and 1.5, the ability to accommodate larger numbers of documents in user defined groups, and a new client/server installer.
